Locality: Mexico, Sonora, Guaymas Municipio, Yaqui region. Ca. 0.5 km below (northward) from the ruins of the Yaqui Cuartel at Bacateve, Sierra Bacatete.
Habitat: Near streambed along roadside. Running stream along bottom of narrow valley surrounded by desert/thornscrub rhyolite mountains and hills. Gallery groves of Ficus producing densae shade, riparian plants in clearings at margin of clearing in the Ficus grove.
Associated Species: Ficus insipida
Description: Petals bright yellow.
