Locality:
United States, Illinois, Cass, West of US Rt. 67, Illinois River floodplain, west side of excavated slough (Beardstown Marsh INAI site), Beardstown. Coordinate datum WGS 84 / NAD 83.
Habitat:
Deep moist sand. Mix of sand prairie and successional plants, both native and exotic, with Ulmus and Betula, low sand drainage area near artificial levee at southwest end of the slough. ; Occasional to locally common rhizomatous colonial herb 1-1.5 meters tall, culms terete, dark green, hollow.
