Plants were most common growing in the meadow to the north of the lake but could also be found growing on grassy margins near the lake. Co-occuring with Antennaria corymbosa sp., Juncus parryi, Potenila fruitcosa, Vaccinium uliginosum and Ranunculus flammula.
Geology: Sandstone. Gentiana prostrata (not collected) was also present and it can be separated from G. calycosa by its stipitate fruits and smaller corolla.
