Red loam. Pinyon juniper woodland. Common. Long lived perennial herb. Leaves silvery white, upper surface with short only and some pusticulate and lower surface with long and short hairs, only the long hairs pusticulate. Style greater than calyx and about equal to the corolla tube. Flowers white.
