Habitat: Fully exposed bluebunch wheatgrass community
Substrate: Shale-like heavy small-sized gravels
Associated Species: Bluebunch wheatgrass (dominant), Eriogonum brevicaule var. brevicaule (also in flower nearby), Balsamorhiza sagittata, Grindelia squarrosa (also in flower), Petradoria pumila, Erodium cicutarium, and a small mustard also flowering, probably Alyssum alyssoides
Description: Plants both in full anthesis and with decaying pods
Reproductive Condition: Flower/fruit
Notes: Late season flowering is known for this species in years of late season moisture; species otherwise does not normally flower in the fall; no pollinators observed
