Habitat: Grazed/trampled stream-dissected riparian meadow & hanging gardens bordered by sandstone canyons and cliffs in the Bicknell Drainage. SW aspect 10-15° slope.
Substrate: Dark gray-brown colored silty soils.
Associated Species: Spartina gracilis, Chrysothamnus vicidiflorus, Gentiana affinis, Elymus trachycaulus, Elymus salinus, Iris missouriensis, Cichorium intybus, Phalaris arundinaceae
Description: Plants about 55 on 1 A; 2-4 ft tall.
Reproductive Condition: in bloom, fruit bearing
Notes: Seed collected from 50 plants; to be used for general research, genetic studies, long-term storage & site rehab. 'Yellow spiderflower.' Voucher for: Seeds of Success program.
