Fairly common, weedy, growing in disturbed sites and along trails in townsite. Flowers white (typically blue?), 3-4 mm dia., with yellow eye (fornix). Plants hispid, calyx hispid with long sepals, spreading widely in fruit. Nutlets with a ring of glochidiate spines on a rim (like L. marginata?). Nutlet rugose over entire surface. Some large, branching plants, 3-4 dm across.
