Associated Species: Eragrostis intermedia, Bouteloua gracilis, B. curtipendula, B. hirsuta, Juniperus deppeana, Pinus monophylla fallax, Quercus emoryi, Q. grisea, Aristida ternipes, Schizichyrium cirratum, Garrya wrightii, Arctostaphylos pungens, Lycurus setosis, Agave parryi, Macroptilium gibbosifolium.
Notes: common suffrutescent herb; ray and disc flowers yellow
