Habitat: Steep rocky slopes with granite boulders, coarse decomposed granite soil; upland desert scrub.
Associated Species: Salazaria, Ephedra viridis, Sphaeralcea ambigua, Stipa speciosa, etc.
Description: Uncommon annual at base of boulders; local dense colonies. Fls. dull greenish with yellow stamens. Foliage strongly scented.
