Habitat: Steep rocky slopes with granite boulders, coarse decomposed granite soil; upland desert scrub.
Associated Species: Salazaria, Ephedra viridis, Sphaeralcea ambigua, Stipa speciosa, etc.
Description: Uncommon cespitose perennual among rocks, especially along washes in small canyons.
