Habitat: Open area beside highway. Locally common on small open gravely benches above and along small drainage/swale running through juniper woodland.
Associated Species: Juniperus californica, Adenostema fasciculatum, Cercocarpus betuloides, Artemisia tridentata, Eriodictyon trichocalyx, etc.
