Description:
Low statured plants <= 4 dm in height, ephemeral tripartite leaves mostly missing, lobes mostly deeply lobed to 1/2 leaf length, acute to rounded, about 1mm wide, plants past flowering, involucres about 2mm wide
Reproductive Condition:
Fruiting
Notes:
Same location as Arnow 6834 collected 1997-06-23 identified as A. tripartita (otherwise unknown for SL County). Duplicate on-line specimens of that collection show strongly tripartite, linear ephemeral leaves (but the plants were apparently not flowering at that time). The plants here must be flowering mid to late summer. As of this collection date, the plants no longer have the appearance of A. tripartita at this point in the year. This sagebrush continues to grow over the crest of a hill to the opposite side facing north, still fully exposed, growing with similar species but also with Achillea, Solidago multiradiata, Sedum lanceolatum, Penstemon platyphyllus, Antennaria sp., and Poa secunda.
