Habitat:
Newhall Ranch, mouth of Potrero Canyon, just above gate at edge of Santa Clara River Valley. Saltgrass meadow along muddy stream on bottom of canyon; bordered by annual grassland and oak woodland.
Notes:
Scarce 50 cm perennial at drying edge of wet alkali meadow; stems decumbent (tips acending); foliage with odor like dead fish.
