Habitat: Dixie National Forest: Red Creek Canyon. Take Center Street E out of Paragonah several miles to boundary of Dixie National Forest, then 1.3 mi E on FR 078, then 0.15 mi N on 2-track to site. Densely scrubby pinyon-juniper woodland on moderate W- and S-facing slopes. Cercocarpus ledifolius, C. montanus, Peraphyllum, Quercus gambelii, grasses and forbs in understorey. Rocky soil on W-facing side; light ashy-gray, sandy soil on S-facing side.
Notes: Common. Latex white. Florets bright yellow.
