Habitat:
Wasatch Range, Mt Raymond, Big Cottonwood Canyon; common on steep rocky talus slopes below cliffs. Light red-brown soil, pH ca 7.7.
Notes:
Corollas pale red-violet to pale blue-violet, darker violet at base of tube; staminode white; anthers dark blue-black, the abaxial pair exserted right at the mouth; nectar with a sweet fragrance.
