Habitat: Along Mud Flat Road, 8.75 mi SW jct with Poison Springs Road. 0.6 mi up two-track on N side Mud Flat Road. High grazed sagebrush grassland on windswept gentle SE-facing slope. Thin rocky-sandy soil over surfacing rock. Few Cercocarpus ledifolius and Purshia tridentata along edge of rocky draw.
Notes: Locally common. Forming small mats.
