Habitat: Along Book Cliff-Ouray Rd, 3.0-3.35 mi N jct with Willow Creek Rd. BLM land on Seep Ridge. Pinyon-juniper woodland and sagebrush/rabbitbrush-grassland along primarily N-S-trending ridge. Large disturbed swath on W side of rd where gas line was installed. Gravelly shale soil (Parachute and Evacuation Creek members of Green River Formation), mostly barren.
Notes: Locally common. Plants with a faint turpene odor. Rays pink when young, white and recoiled at maturity.
