Habitat: Seasonal drainage below cattle pond in scrub grassland.
Associated Species: Senegalia greggii, Prosopis velutina, Fouquieria splendens, Celtis reticulata, Anisacanthus thurberi, Mimosa aculeaticarpa var. biuncifera, Nothoscordum bivalve, Commicarpus scandens, Zinnia acerosa, Rhynchosida physocalyx, Allionia incarnata, Helenium thurberi, Triodanis biflora, Muhlenbergia rigens, Bouteloua curtipendula, Eragrostis lehmanniana, Cynodon dactylon.
Description: Perennial, shrub-sized (1 m tall), in shade of Senegalia; leaves leathery, +/- glabrous; flowers pink, 8–10 florets per head.
Notes: PAPAZ; duplicates to ARIZ, USON.
