Habitat: Dark peaty sand, wet, seepage slope, saturated with salts which encrust surface; ancient spring upwelling forming; desert springs species; Juncus bufonius, Schismus barbatus, Polypogon monspeliensis, Bromus tectorum; level flats below spring mound.
