Habitat: Scattered large stumps of chain-saw cut Olneya testota and Prosopis. Low lying sand soil, ex backwater of Estero Tastiota, highly saline soil with a lot of open, barren ground.
Associated Species: Atriplex linearis, Encelia halimifolium, Grusonia reflexispina, Ferocactus tiburonensis, Jatropha cinerea, Koeberlinia spinosa, Prosopis glandulosa, Suaeda nigra
Description: Abundant clumping grass, forming tough perennial knotty base. Nearly all are reproductive at time of collection. To ca. 1 m tall.
