Associated Species: Pinus discolor, Quercus arizonica, Quercus emoryi, Quercus hypoleucoides, Juniperus deppeana, Garrya wrightii, Nolina microcarpa, Dasylirion wheeleri, Baccharis thesioides, Ageratina herbacea, Carphochaete bigelovii, Selaginella rupincola, Artemisia ludoviciana var. ludoviciana, Comandra umbellata, Muhlenbergia emersleyi, Aristida schiedeana var. orcuttiana, Schizachyrium sanguineum var. hirtiflorum, Drymaria glandulosa, Stevia micrantha.
Description: Perennial, 40 cm; ray and disk flowers yellow; heads with large subtending bracts, bract margins long-ciliate.
