Habitat: Steep, E-facing talus slope in pine-oak woodland.
Associated Species: Pinus sp., Populus tremuloides, Juglans major, Quercus rugosa, Quercus gambelii, Robinia neomexicana, Holodiscus discolor, Sphaeralcea fendleri subsp. fendleri, Oenothera podocarpa, Berberis wilcoxii, Salvia lemmonii, Ageratina herbacea, Heuchera sanguinea, Geranium caespitosum, Monarda citriodora subsp. austromontana, Cosmos parviflorus, Scrophularia parviflora.
Description: Perennial, 2 m; flowers orange.
