Habitat: Rocky slopes.
Description: Leaves broad (4-5mm), flat, with prominent ligule and hyaline ventral sheath. Spikes gynacandrous, sessile, clustered into ~dense head. Scales < perigynia. Perigynia ~4mm long, flat, broadly ovate/rounded and narrow winged. Beak terete, dark bown, bidentate. Stigmas 2.
Reproductive Condition: Fertile
