Associated Species: Prosopis velutina, Eysenhardtia orthocarpa, Fouquieria splendens, Erythrina flabelliformis, Agave schottii, Cnidoscolus angustidens, Artemisia ludoviciana, Opuntia engelmannii, Solanum elaeagnifolium, Heliomeris longifolia var. annua, Amaranthus palmeri, Eragrostis lehmanniana.
Description: Mound-shaped subshrub, 60 cm high x 80 cm wide; woody at base and semi-woody throughout; flowers ligulate with 5–6 ligules, pale pinkish-white; pappus bristles tan.
