Typical shrub/steppe grassland mosaic which is probably representative of the pre-settlement Wasatch foothill grasslands which have now all been converted to agricultural use. Area contains several oak clones and two Utah Junipers. The site has been burned as evidenced by the few sagebrush islands and diversity of native bunchgrasses. It has an approximate vegetative cover of about 75% with a moss/gravel cover of 25%. Surprising lack of Poa secunda.Low incidence of Broom Snakeweed and Rubber Rabbitbrush which are disturbance indicators. Some Pocket Gopher disturbance and several Badger holes noted. The few weed species are suppressed by the grass/sage community. Possible new county record.
