Large fen with high quality portions on eastern edge. Beautiful large Larix laricina trees shelter very diverse ribbons of fen. Large west portion is dominated by weedy species including Agrostis gigantea. Phalaris arundinacea dominates the fen/woodland interfaces. Bordered on north by creek and on south by woodland upland. Sedge meadow zone in northern portion of prairie fen; about 30m south of woodland edge; Carex stricta, C. lasiocarpa, C. sartwellii are common; Dasiphora fruticosa, Toxicodendron vernix are common shrubs; Eutrochium maculatum, Galium asprellum are common in area as well. Ground inundated.
Flowers -NA.Well-represented in area; about 1-2 clumps of basal leaves per sq. m for 5 sq. m; none with flowers or fruits; about 20-35cm tall.
