Mostly open prairie fen with strong prairie component. Bisected by Little Goose Creek. Some large swaths of Frangula alnus being treated by Michigan Nature Association. Weedy areas develop further downstream where fen narrows. Highly variable in regards to health of fen with some patches appearing pristine and other complet Phragmites australis stands. Private property is being heavily encroached by shrubs and turning the high quality fen into a patchwork of degraded/healthy fen. Sedge meadow with Frangula alnus, Phalaris arundinacea, Lythrum salicaria individuals. Dasiphora fruticosa scattered; many Solidago spp. Ground moist but not inundated in a relatively open pocket; tree line about 25m to north; shrub line about 10m to the east.
