Large north-south fen; multiple ownser; many arms; large expanses of Carex stricta. Fen elongated and amoeboid with many small armas and large amounts of edge. Oak uplands often inserted intro prairie fen as peninsulas. Oftern large amounts of open water due to beaver flooding. Asjacent to railroad that runs the entire length of the fen. Hummocky sedge meadow ribbons interspersed through thickets of Toxicodendron vernix, Cornus foemina, Betula pumila, and Larix laricina. Mostly Carex stricta with some C. lacustris in inter-hummock muck. Some C. sartwellii along with Symphyotrichum lanceol
