Locality: United States, TEXAS, Bastrop, S side of Park Road 1 at and just E of entrance to Bastrop State Park, ca. 1.3-1.4 airmiles E of jct. St. Rt. 21 and St. Rt. 95 in Bastrop. Bastrop State Park. Bastrop Quadrangle. Elev. 520 ft.

Habitat: In mostly herbaceous vegetation at edge of narrow strip of loblolly pine - post oak - eastern red cedar forest on level upland underlain by Carrizo Sand, on soils mapped as deep, well drained, fine sandy loam of the Axtell Series (Udertic Paleustalfs). Area NOT burned during Bastrop Complex Wildfire of September 2011. Associates included Anagallis arvensis, Arenaria serpyllifolia, Briza minor, Bromus catharticus, Calyptocarpus vialis, Cerastium (30088), Chaerophyllum tainturieri, Geranium carolinianum, Hedypnois cretica, Hypochaeris glabra, Hypoxis hirsuta, Ilex vomitoria, Melia azedarach, Modiola caroliniana, Nothoscordum bivalve, Nuttallanthus texanus, Oenothera laciniata, Oxalis sp., Parietaria pensylvanica, Plantago virginica, Richardia tricocca, Rubus trivialis, Sherardia arvensis, Smilax bona-nox, Sonchus sp., Vicia ludoviciana. Rare. Corolla lemon yellow, the 5 lobes scarcely fringed.
Reproductive Condition: flowering=early
