Habitat: Locally common in mostly low halophytic vegetation and dead mesquite on unshaded flat along margin of salt lake. Associates include Atriplex sp. Machaeranthera phyllocephala, Monanthochloe littoralis, Opuntia leptocaulis, O. lindheimeri, Palafoxia texana, Parkinsonia aculeata, Pennisetum ciliaris, Sporobolus pyramidatus, Suaeda sp., Teucrium cubense, Tidestromia lanuginosa.
Reproductive Condition: flowering + fruiting=mid
