Habitat: Mixed Chihuahuan Desert Scrub with Acacia neovernicosa, Larrea, Guaiacum, Celtis pallida, Ephedra, Fouquieria, Yucca torr., Viquiera steno., Jatropha, Opuntia spp., and grasses. Erect, somewhat fleshy annual. Fls yellow. Locally abundant.
Reproductive Condition: flowering=early
