Locality: United States, Texas, Cameron, Near Peredes Road, 8 miles North of Brownsville. Elev. 10 m.
Habitat: Distribution through South Texas. Erect branched, suffrutescent on dry clayey open ground. Perennial. Roots woody. Bark Gray-pale. Leaves oblong, linear, acute. Composite yellow flowers, in terminal clusters. Open during day. Flowering Oct.-Nov. Fragrant. Dry clayey open ground. It forms colonies in dry open ground near the coast.
Reproductive Condition: flowering + fruiting=mid
