Habitat: Locally common in saline clay on +/- dry unshaded tidal flat. Associates include Monanthochloe littoralis, Atriplex sp., Spartina spartinae, Opuntia lindheimeri, Lycium carolinianum, Chloris cf. virgata, Borrichia frutescens, stunted Prosopis glandulosa.
Reproductive Condition: flowering + fruiting=mid
