Elevation: 1283 meters (4208ft)
Habitat: Sand bar in creek bed in previously burned southern Salix lasiolepis riparian forest, with Phacelia curvipes, Castilleja minor spiralis, Juncus macrophyllus, Mimulus pilosus, M. guttatus, Heterocodon rariflorum; rocky sandy alluvial soil.
Notes: Uncommon, erect annual, puberulent, sepals free, corolla rotate, petals lavender-pink, red-purple-flecked, claw broad, 2-lobed, lobes lanceolate, ovate, or diamond-shaped. Stamens 8, subtended by ciliate scales, stigma mostly ± = anthers, ovary/fruit 4-grooved.
