Associated Species: Quercus turbinella, Baccharis pteronioides, Eriogonum wrightii, Rhus trilobata var. anisophylla, Solanum elaeagnifolium, Yucca baccata, Juniperus, Gutierrezia sarothrae, Mimosa aculeaticarpa var. biuncifera, Bromus rubens.
Description: Large clump ca 3 m wide x 1-1/2 m high, many stems with 8 this year's flowering stalks, one broken, flowering stalk ca 2-1/3 m tall, 11 mm in diameter ca 1-3/4 m up from ground, erect, inflorescence down 55% of stalk.
