Habitat: Open southrly facing slope above ephemeral stream in rolling to mountainous oak-manzanita-dominated Madrean evergreen woodland.
Substrate: Stony soil
Associated Species: Quercus emoryi, Quercus oblongifolia, Arctostaphylos pungens, Baccharis salicifolia, Platanus wrightii, Cuphea wrightii, Anoda cristata, Gomphrena cf. nitida, Adenophyllum cancellatum, Melampodium cf. appendiculatum, Acalypha neomexicana, Bidens cf. bigelovii, Zinnia peruviana.
Description: 4: 10 - 16-inch ascending to erect annual plants with fuzzy, bipinnatifid leaves and panicles of inconspicuous green and yellow flowers.
Notes: These plants were abundant among summer annuals on slope.
