Locality: United States, Arizona, Coconino, On BLM dirt access road to southside Rider Canyon growing on knoll, circa 13.0 miles south of US 89A (road miles).

Habitat: Localized patchy distribution in semibarren areas with Cryptantha pterocarya var. cycloptera and Lappula occidentalis var. cupulata.; Tan colored (lower iron content) Kaibab limestone gravel in semibarren areas.
Reproductive Condition: Bolting, in flower and fruit.
Notes: 8-11 mm diameter, biennial to short-lied perennial, prominent yellow fornices (scented).
