Emergent marsh made up of patches of bulrushes, bur reeds, sedges, & spikerushes. Typha sp. is patchy & rare to uncommon. Dry in late Aug. 2011, but appears to have significant water much of the year. Recently grazed by cattle. On S side of marsh basin. W/ Sparganium sp., Persicaria amphibium, Lemna sp., and cf. Drepanocladus moss.

Dominant plant in a large patch; growing in small clumps, nat far separated. Large rhizomes on one sterlie clump. Leaves yellow-green with a reddish base (some of them). In late fruit.
