In the valley of Canyon Creek where the creek is running below ground. Growing at the base of rocky cliff area with Picea engelmannii, Ribes oxyacanthoides, Ribes cereum, Penstemon glaber, Artemesia tridentata, Symphoricarpos oreophilus, Fragaria virginiana, Carex hoodii, Lappula redowski, Anemone multifida, Cirsium undulatum, Zigadenus elegans, Hordeum brachyantherum, Elymus smithii, and Androsace septentrionalis. Picea engelmannii, Petrophyton caespitosum, Sullivantii hapemanii, Pellaea occidentalis, Woodsia oregana, and Ribes spp. growing on the adjacent rock wall.
