Habitat: Slight, generally N. slope, pinyon-juniper and desert shrub zones. 50% or more total cover. Dominant shrub Ephedra torreyana. Dominant grasses Bromus tectorum, Oryzopsis hymenoides. With Lappula, Ribes. No recent distrubance. Parent rock Notch Peak Formation, limestone or dolomite or both.
