Locality:
United States, Texas, Randall, Collected along Texas Hwy 217 near the entrance to Palo Duro Canyon State Park.
Habitat:
Growing unshaded in hard, dry, rocky, whitish soil. Appeared very local in distribution. Deep root system. Petals deep bluish-purple in color.
