Relatively dry ground, open prairie-like vegetation that seems to have originally been a non-tussocky sedge meadow with a history of grazing. Assoc.: Poa pratensis, Carex stricta, C. pellita, C. bicknellii, Scirpus pendulus, Juncus dudleyi, Salix exigua sprouts, Hypericum perforatum, Verbena hastata, Campanula aparinoides var. aparinoides, and Rudbeckia triloba.
