Associated plants include Pinus monophylla, Ephedra sp., Artemisia tridentata, Tetradymia canscens, Purshia tridentata glandulosa, Chrysothamnus viscidiflorus, Eriogonum microthecum ambiguum and Cercocarpus ledifolius intermontanus.
