Panicles terminal, mostly drooping. Flowers 4-merous, yellow, especially attractive to honeybees. Small tree, about 20 ft,, with coarse, stout branching. Bark pale brown with shallow fissures revealing thin lines of orange underbark. Producing numerous seedlings in immediate collection area.
