Common and often abundant shrub, generally with several spreading main stems, mostly 3-4dm long; fruit yellow, leathery, tuberculate (see Baker 13871); bud collected during late meiosis of microgametogenesis 31 May 2010 from individual transplanted to outside garden in partial shade, Chino Valley, Arizona; appears to have more than 11 haploid chromosomes; flower (1) and fruits (6) photographed and collected 22 June 2010; n=11.
