A thin layer of soil sits on top of a rocky base, much of which is bare. Sunny area with no shade.
Sepals are a deep blue-purple along the spurs, fading to white at the flared tip. Petals area a matching deep blue-purple. This sepal/petal color fades to lighter purple in older flowers.
