Very shrubby lakeside fen. Mostly sedge meadow and wooded fen. Dominant vegetation includes Carex stricta, C. hystericina, Rosa, Frangula alnus, Larix laricina, Toxicodendron vernix, and Symphylotrichum firmum. Invaded by Phalaris arundinacea, Frangula alnus, and Rosa multiflora. Some boggy areas in the northeast. Drosera rotundifolia were found on Sphagnum hummocks in wooded fen. In southern section, ATV or truck activity, in open sedge meadow. Possible hunting site. In southern area of prairie fen, 200m north of southern border, 150m west of Riker Lake. Open sedge meadow dominated by Carex, Dasiphora fruticosa, and Asteraceae, and near stand alone 7m tall cedar tree. Full ground shrubs of Toxicodendron vernix, Cornus, and Frangula alnus every 9m2. Saplings more common, many dense clumps of Rhamnus alnifolia. Ground hummocky and wet but not puddling.
