Very shrubby lakeside fen. Mostly sedge meadow and wooded fen. Dominant vegetation includes Carex stricta, C. hystericina, Rosa, Frangula alnus, Larix laricina, Toxicodendron vernix, and Symphylotrichum firmum. Invaded by Phalaris arundinacea, Frangula alnus, and Rosa multiflora. Some boggy areas in the northeast. Drosera rotundifolia were found on Sphagnum hummocks in wooded fen. In southern section, ATV or truck activity, in open sedge meadow. Possible hunting site. In southern-central portion of prairie fen, 300m west of Riker Lake, 450m north of southern border. Both sedge meadow and wooded prairie fen vegetation zones. Carex, Dasiphora fruticosa, and Valeriana uliginosa dominant with common, moderately dense shrubs of Rubus, Cornus, Frangula alnus, and Toxicodendron vernix. Tamarack trees common and clumped. Ground hummocky and moist.
