Bordered on north by woodland as well as on southern edge, but southern edge has a railroad and nearby row-crop agriculture. Typhaspp. appear to be heavily impacting fen. Asteraceae dominated pocket in middle of thick Frangula alnus thicket. Ground wet. Common species include Eutrochium maculatum, Thalictrum dasycarpum, Solidago gigantea, Doellingeria umbellata, Calystegia sepium, and Symphyotrichum puniceum. Toxicodendron vernix present.
