Habitat: Riparian canyon in oak-mesquite grassland.
Associated Species: Populus fremontii, Fraxinus velutina, Prosopis velutina, Sapindus saponaria, Quercus oblongifolia, Juniperus deppeana, Baccharis salicifolia, Baccharis sarothroides, Fouquieria splendens, Erythrina flabelliformis, Ziziphus obtusifolia, Agave palmeri, Garrya wrightii, Toxicodendron radicans, Bothriochloa barbinodis, Bouteloua curtipendula.
Description: Woody shrub, 5 m; inflorescence flat-topped, flowers cream.
